Van Wagner Airship Group has an exciting, and important, temporary position available for a trustworthy and responsible individual interested in traveling, learning new skills, and participating with our Airship Ground Crew and Operations Team. The temporary position will be for 3 to 4 months.

Airships, also referred to as blimps, fly from one city to the next and need at least 13 crew members available at all times to keep the ship in top operation. As an Airship Ground Crew Member, you will follow the blimp from city to city and assist in handling certain critical aspects of the operation.

This unique opportunity is fitting for individuals that have a strong desire to travel. You will be on the road traveling with the ground crew for the entire period of your assignment and all lodging expenses are taken care of by Van Wagner.

2. Flight Operations -- As an Airship Ground Crew Member, you will help maneuver the blimp to and from its mooring mast for take offs and landings.

3. Security Watch -- The airship is never left unattended. All Ground Crew will have to stand "watch" while the blimp is not flying. Watch duty is rotated through the crew via a weekly schedule.

4. Maintenance -- Airship Ground Crew members are responsible for cleaning and maintaining vehicles, trailers, equipment and the blimp itself. No mechanical background is required, but it is helpful.
