MetLife And DIRECTV Blimps Partner With Feeding America San Diego December 3, 2014
Van Wagner Airship Group LLC is gearing up for the holiday giving season with the MetLife and DIRECTV blimps. The blimps will be side-by-side at Brown Field Municipal Airport in San Diego this Friday, December 12, 2014 from 12-6 p.m. They will be offering free, up-close and personal tours of the blimps to understand the science that is behind these lighter-than-air ships, given by the crew and pilots.
During the event, attendees will get a firsthand view from the cockpit and a seat in the passenger car of the 178-foot-long blimps. Admission to the event is the small cost of a canned good, which will be donated through Feeding America San Diego (FASD), San Diego’s largest hunger relief organization.
The DIRECTV and MetLife blimps, both Van Wagner Aerial Media airships, invite the public to join the event at any point to explore the airships, get to know the crew, and give back, just in time for the holidays. For any questions regarding this event, please click the button below.
